Our Vision
The aims and objectives of education is to build up mental processes that will make a learner a holistic human being, emotionally stable, intellectually vibrant, spiritually enlightened and socially committed. Education for Human Excellence should touch upon academic excellence, physical excellence and spiritual insight, which all go towards building a wholesome personality. A mere academic excellence is not and index of an effective school climate unless human excellence is nursed and natured.
The role of education is a facilitating role, to enable the seeker to unravel the strength latent in one’s self. Human values re the prime concerns. No efforts are spared to insist the role of the learner as a member of a society and hence to participate in social construction meaningfully and effectively. Humility of the learner is the first step in effective learning. Education begets humility, humility begets good character, with good character one earns wealth and with wealth one does righteous actions, from which one gets happiness.
Location
The Vidyalaya is located at the suburb of Babupara, Jiribarn, Manipur. It is connected by local public transport. The healthy surroundings contribute immensely towards the physical and mental well being of students. It is well equipped with modern techniques for Nursery to Class I. It has upto 10+2 standard.
Affiliation
The Rajkurnari Sanatombi Vidyalaya is a higher Secondary School affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. School Code No. – 31030 and Affiliation No.- 1230037.
Objectives
The Vidyalaya’s main objectives is to provide “Education for Human Excellence’: It is touch upon academic excellence, physical excellence and spiritual insight, which all go towards building a wholesome personality. In addition, the Vidyalaya aims to play a positive and constructive role to strengthen the innate human potential and nurture one’s true self.
Governance and School Staff
The Vidyalaya was established by Leirik Memorial Charitable Society in 2010. The school is managed by the School Managing Committee, of which Padma Shri Th. Flaridas Singh is the Chairman. The Secretary and other members are nominated as per CBSE’s bye laws. The Principal of the Vidyalaya is Shri. S. Maniton Singh, an experienced educationist and who has an experience of over 30 years.The Vidyalaya has qualified, trained and committed teachers. It possesses qualifications equal to those prescribed by CBSE. The teachers’ knowledge and teaching skills are upgraded through periodic conduction of course, seminars and workshop in the field of Educational Technology.
Syllabus and Curriculum
The School is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi for its 10+2 pattern. The Course of the academic for standard A (Nsy).8, B (K.G.) and 1 to VIII are framed by the School within the stipulated objectives of NCERT. Due consideration is given to the National Curriculum Framework for Elementary Education prepared by NCERT for these classes. However, from standard IX onwards CBSE syllabus for is followed. The medium of instruction is English, Manipuri and Hindi are compulsory language upto Class VIII. Manipuri or Hindi may be taught as second language from Class IX. There is a variety of Art Education Programme like Find Arts, Clay modelling, Classical Dance and Instrumental music etc. Yoga and Meditation forms and integral part of school curriculum. Work experience like Cross stitch, Tailoring, Cutting and Embroidery, and Computer Education etc. are taught to the students. Compulsory Computer education is given from Class III and IX to XII as work experience and will be offered as an Elective Subject in the near future.
Admission
The academic session for the classes from nursery to class X and XII(Arts./Sc.) starts from the first week of April every year. The final examination of these classes are generally held in the second week of February and result are declared in the last week of March. Students are admitted into different classes through written and oral test except for the students of nursery and K.G.. Boys and girls who are in the age group of 3-4 years are admitted into either in nursery or K.G. without any test.
Inter Door Stadium
R.K. Sanatombi Vidyalaya has an indoor stadium. The dimensions of the stadium are length 129/ and breath 65/. Students used to play badminton and table-tennis during recess hours.
Transport
R.K. Sanatombi Vidyalaya provides transport facilities to the day scholars. The school has 6 (Six) buses plying in 6 different routes on all school days.
